A total of eleven teams have been announced for the $15,000 Clutch Con taking place from January 30th-February 1st at Crowne Plaza Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. Clutch Con will feature a total of sixteen teams with the first eleven already announced. Interestingly, some female teams have also been invited, including Karma and Ubinited. Only one European team has accepted the invite as of now, which is fnatic, but we can also see Brazil's KaBuM on the list joining the likes of Cloud9, iBUYPOWER and Torqued from North America.
Two more teams will be announced in the nearest future, two will have to battle through a North American online qualifier, while the last spot is reserved for a LAN qualifier. Prize distribution:
The event will take place a weekend after MLG X-Games Aspen, kicking off with the group stage on January 30th with the playoffs played on January 31st and February 1st, which means it will clash with ASUS ROG Winter. |
